Alex Willan is a chef opening a new restaurant, but things aren't happening as fast as they should due to a string of mishaps. Unbeknownst to her, her sisters have become coupled with Immortals, and are trying to find her lifemate so they won't have to continue without her. Cale, the hero, is told that Alex is his lifemate, and jumps in to help Alex open her new restaurant and sort out the supposed mishaps. What was unusual (and refreshing) was that Cale was so OPEN to finding somebody, even if he was doing just fine on his own; he was willing to step up while she figured out her footing professionally and personally. Of course Sands pokes fun, with lines like "her words not really making it past his thoughts about spending eternity with her." I loved that the characters took their time and learned about each other. It added depth to the sexual and romantic tension between Alex and Cale. It also showed the deep respect that Cale had for Alex's personality; he enjoyed her quirks and her independence, and found ways to teach her to compromise. The mystery aspect moved along nicely and while you might have an idea who it may be, there are a few roadblocks thrown in to make you question yourself. And of course, since this is a series you see one rather large plot line from another story be resolved. If you haven't read this series, it's okay. This story can be read as a standalone, but it does add more to your reading if you know the characters. This installment wraps up the story line started with Sam and Mortimer. Alex is Sam's sister and she wants to find her a life mate. Cale Valens is a relative of the Argeneau clan. The two are thrust together as Cale tries to help Alex save her new resturant. 3.5 stars

This is the 14th in the series. It brings back some of the best people from the other books and introduces new ones. Cale and Alex are the main stars in this book.
If you like Lynsay Sands and her Argeneau Vampires, you will absolutely LOVE this book.

Oh man this was awesome. So stinking funny. Fans of Brickers will be happy to know he's in this one, a lot. Lucian, Leigh, Julius,Marguerite, Mortimer, Sam, Jo and Nicolas make an apperance. A few more than others. Hopefully this isn't considered a spoiler but Some loose ends get tied up, won't say what or who with but just tossing that out there.
There was one thing that happened towards the end of the book that just ticked me off big time and changed my opinion of Alex and even though a little after that something else happens that draws you back to her side a bit, but yeah what she did... wow, I've never been more furious with a fictional character ever.
But other than that this was really good, even with that one snag it can't deflect the awesomeness of this book. Worth the money or credit spent. { in my opinion }

I didn't like it. There was entirely too much "controlling" involved in the relationship for it to be healthy, or genuine. Alex ended up seeming like a bit of a flake. The secondary characters were funny; even through I loved Lucian in his book, he really gets on my nerves in the other stories. Not one of my favorites of hers. 2 1/2 stars.

This is a definite "must read" if you've been following all the books by this author. I loved reading the story of Alex and Cale - there's alot of humor, sex and good reading. I can't wait for more books by this author!! If you like reading about vampires, erotica and funny business - then this is the book for you!!

Lynsay Sands is a great author and did not dissappoint. This book is up to par with her others in this series. I do advise that you follow the series that way you know all the back story with all the other characters. Great book!

Much better than the last one. Alex had me laughing in a few parts out loud. The only part I would have changed was the ending. It was too passive and felt lazy when it could have been a great kick-butt scene.
As always, Lynsay Sands does an awesome job with the Argeneau Family. Each book you read in the series just makes you want the next one as soon as possible. Hopefully she will continue to write their stories and they will be as enjoyable as the rest of them....This is a great book and you will not be sorry that you picked it up....
It's fun read. There are no overwhelming bad guys - most of the plot revolves around our hero [who is introduced to her as a chef but hasn't eaten in 2000 years] trying to avoid cooking while trying to get the heroine to cozy up to him. Many characters from previous novels make an appearance but it could be read as a stand-alone or out of order.

Not the best of the series but it was fun. I have always liked the interaction of the side characters in her books. I actually wish there were more of that. The romantic progression between Cale and Alex wasn't great. I can't quite pin down what bothers me but it doesn't seem to flow properly. Maybe it's because their interactions weren't clever and the dialogue wasn't as good as her other books.

I've read all of the other Argeneau books and this latest addition did not disappoint. It actually felt a bit fresher and not as predictable as a few of her other books. Juicy romance, wit, and turn-paging plot-line make this a good, quick read!
IMHO..not one of the best...not the worst.Alex seems a bit wishy washy, her sisters as well..Cale is perfect..a bit too perfect...Unfortunately, this series is getting a bit too formulated...I do still like the characters but not as much as the earlier books. Bricker is adorable and hiliarious...I hope his book is worthy of his character..
I think I'm done reading this series from Lynsay Sands. This book was just horrible. It seems to be the same story over and over again from previous books. Alex started out as such a strong character, but alas, she wimped her out. Cale is supposed to be 2k years old and has no hang ups? There was no naturally flowing angst. Too many humans are constantly controlled, which gets tiring, and the Argeneaus push Alex and Cale together at full speed with no consideration to her life, the fact that she was attacked (which gets little notice), or the fact that Cale has a life...or least he should being that old.

Very good book, the last Willan sister is mated off and now all 3 sisters will be together for ever.
