This is Book #1 in a new trilogy of 3 sisters, triplets, whose birth origins are unknown (at least in this book) but have strong hints to royalty.
Mary, the oldest sister has her heart set on a certain Lord "Quinn" Wetherly. However, it is Quinn's brother, "Rogan, The Black Duke," that ends up the target when he interferes thinking to save Quinn from what he presumes to be a scheming matrimonial miss.
All of the characters were delightful but I kept hoping to see a bit more...strength...???...something to Mary. It was not something I could put my finger on and she was a pretty good heroine, but it just seemed as if 'something' was missing or there should have been a little more depth to her in a few situations.
Anne and Elizabeth, the 2 younger sisters were not very developed either given they were part of a strong intro. here; possibly princesses. For example, the scene where they met Rogan for the first time, they were totally shy, intimidated, and ran off at the first chance.
But it was still a very enjoyable read and I have high hopes for their stories to follow. That's probably the worst thing: a year wait for Book #2. =)

Helpful Score: 1
Book was not that good. My first time reading this author. They portray her as a young first season "gel" then her character is suddenly a very strong women against the whiles of a Duke. I liked the way she played both people against each other-doing things only to up the other. but not a strong story.
