This is part of the "Nothing's Fair In Fifth Grade" series....it was interesting to read some of the changes in Elsie's life as she changed from fat girl to pretty girl and began dating a "popular boy".

Fourth in Barthe Declements' group of books about Jack, Jenny, and their friends, and the second book to focus on Elsie. Since fifth grade she's managed to lose her weight but not her low self-esteem. Declements gives her chapters stupid titles and has this inexplicable tendency to write "walkin" instead of "walking," but it's a pleasure to meet up with Elsie and Jenny four years later and see how they turned out.
