I absolutely LOVE this book and I bought it when I was 39! I read it through front to back when I first got it and find myself referring back to it every couple of months. At the end of each chapter, there are detailed lists/descriptions of "Recommended Buys" at each price level too. I just bought a few of the L'Oreal products she recommends and I am very happy with them(I was a loyal Estee Lauder fan-not anymore!). Her advice is practical, the book has a LOT of photos for examples, and is broken into easy to follow and engaging chapters. A must read for all women aged 35-65.

Great suggestions and an easy read. You can read start to finish or hop to chapters that are of interest.

I live in a rural, desert area and did not find the information in this book useful. She seems to promote a high maintenance, self-oriented lifestyle in order to stay young-looking. For example, she is big on Spanx undergarments, teeth capping, and plastic surgery, amongst other things. It's probably good advice for career women who live in the city, but not for regular, everyday people. Hair, makeup, and clothes advice was good.
