This book has been the family bible on cat care since the 50s. While its information is a little dated (especially the health care stuff), it's a sheer pleasure to read, and I hope the current editions have retained the fantastic cartoons drawn by the New Yorker cartoonist Roberta McDonaldRead this book for the love of cats. Read this book for the love of words. Read this book for the love of the supremely urbane cartoons that come with. Read this book, period. It deserves to be updated and revived. 1953 Ed.
Really funny. Information about cats and cat behavior and cat history that is maybe being forgotten.
