This is a sweet, smart literary love story, both in its writing quality and having books as a central theme. There are many characters, and most are interesting and fairly well developed. The idyllic village of Peasebrook is not immune to loss; some characters deal with grief throughout the novel. I enjoyed the British slang and wish it was possible spend several hours browsing in Nightingale Books.

Sometimes I just need a feel good book. A book about small town life and all lives intermingled has its quirky characters. Sweet love stories often make a charming read. As an avid reader, of course, I am a sucker for books set in and around bookshops. It's an added bonus when a book like How to Find Love in a Bookshop by Veronica Henry packages all of that in one story.

Quaint and charming tale of a young woman who returns to her childhood home outside London when her father is dying. She inherits his bookshop, which was his dream and her home. She also inherits his debts and struggles with whether to keep the shop or sell. In the course of the story line, you find out how the store and her father touched so many people's lives and ultimately decides her future.
