My initial impression is this is not what I thought this book would be about. With a title like that you would think it would be a love story. The story starts very sadly, and the tone feels like it will be a depressing story after our main character Christine, witnesses a suicide attempt by a man. This event is life changing for her that she somehow ends up making a deal with another man who attempts to jump off a bridge to help him want to live and she has 2 weeks to do it in. I am confused why she would think she would be able to accomplish this task and how she ended taking on the role. Christine also loves to read self help books~ books entitled 52 Ways of How To Feel Better... or 25 Ways to Live a Happy Life, and tries some of these on herself and those she helps. In the same vein as Ahern's previous books, she introduces a cast of characters all very different, and unrelated from each other, and she weaves a story that ties in all these people together and there is a reason for it. By the end, it will make sense and make you feel good about the characters involved. Overall, I enjoyed this story very much and it holds some positive messages, and humor in certain parts.

This novel truly balances the woes and worries of life on a perfect yin yang scale for both main characters. All the while they, without cues, realized what they had been missing in their life was there right under their nose. Not too cheesy. Not too depressing. Definitely realistic. Read it!
