This review is based on reading two of the stories:
Meet Me in Mayfair by Tessa Dare - Louisa Ward needs to find a husband in the next two weeks. Her family is about to be evicted by the new Duke of Thornhill. She must find a rich husband who will pay her family's debt or they will lose their home. While attending a ball to meet eligible men, Louisa discovers that the Duke is listed on her dance card. She decides to take advantage of this and convince him to dismiss her family's debt.
This was a cute historical romance with fun dialogue. My rating: 4 Stars.
The Duke of Christmas Present by Sarah MacLean - Eben James, the Duke of Allryd, likes to be by himself during the holidays. But when Lady Jacqueline "Jack" Mosby returns after a twelve year absence, Eben tries to romance the woman he never stopped loving before she marries another.
I tried to like this story, but I was bored. My rating: 2 Stars.

Usually, I find anthologies to be more miss than hit but not this time. Though MacLean's Duke of Christmas Present drove me a little nuts with the regular past/present jumps, it turned out to be the most romantic in the lot if you go by my leaking eyes and occasional sniffles. In Jordan's Heiress Alone, Annis and Calder have their own unexpected sexy adventure with a little help from brigands and Fenella's loooove biscuits. The funniest was Shupe's Christmas in Central Park with Rose scrambling to pull off a party with no hostess skills in sight. The baking demo was especially squirm inducing. Surprisingly, despite having top billing, Dare's story wasn't as satisfying as the others. All stories are tied together by magical shortbread cookies. If you're on the fence, I'd say give this collection a try. 3.5 stars.

This was a pretty good book with the Christmas stories. They are all based on stories or movies and so you will find that you know how the story will go but it is still a fun read.

The story by Sarah MacLean would have been good, but her writing is too vulgar for my liking. The use of the LORD's name in vain repeatedly was also unnecessary (especially in a book about Christmas).
