This book made me so, so hungry! The main character has probably the most unique outlook on the structure of cookbooks I've ever read. In this world of low-carb, low-fat foods, I think the not-so-subtle advice given here is smart.

This is a fun, happy, quick read with a well-drawn out main character and a storyline that propels the book along.

Absolutely hilarious! Jasmine March is one talented cook and has her hands full with her husband's midlife crisis and her daughter's teen angst.

This book has been classified as a cozy, probably due to the title. It is really more of women's fiction and even borders on chic lit for 40 year olds. The main character never tries to play detective or investigate a murder. Even though it is all about food and how it defines us, you will not find any recipes in the back like most cozies. All the characters in the book seem to be on a quest to find their true selves and find some truth in life. Even if you love cozies, as I do, you will not be disappointed in this book.

Really not impressed with this book. Very light reading, the obvious food connection is not so much fun as just extreme and not as funny as I expected it to be. None of the characters is particularly likable. Disappointing...

The book started out well enough, but then it just seemed like the author ran out of steam, or ideas, and the ending was preposterous and slightly insulting to readers who spent time reading it.

The main character is a little strange; but overall a witty, interesting read.
