I feel like I've just returned from Botswana and a visit with a good friend, Precious. If you're looking for a thriller or fast paced action, this is not the book/series for you. However, I love the character development from the beginning of the series. Precious and her No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency take on a pro bono case to help a wrongfully dismissed employee get her job back. Their investigation turns up old acquaintances. The theme of "old-fashioned" morals and doing what is right rather than what is easy or in your own best interest runs throughout. Precious gets a surprise that rocks her to her very soul. VERY good read!
