Great story. A bit different, I think, from most of Koontz' books, with more "mystery" than "horror," but is another example of his usual expert, entertaining, and clever writing. About 2/3 through, I thought I had the ending figured out but was delighted when I discovered I was wrong!

I liked this book. Maybe not Koontz' best, but still good.

Most of this book felt like a ball of confusion. I understand that the character has amnesia and thus the reader isn't supposed to "get" what is going on for the beginning; however I didn't feel like the level of suspense necessary to keep a reader interested in that kind of plot was present in this novel. I love Koontz but I think it's evident that this was one of his earlier books. It wasn't bad at all, just not outstanding.

If you like Koontz at all, you will really like this book. It kept me glued to my chair until I read it all.

I truly had to force myself to continue listening to this book. It seemed to drag on and on and, just when you thought something interesting was going to happen, it reverted back to just dragging again. The last couple of chapters finally got down to the meat of the story, but even then I found my eyes starting to roll. Maybe I'm just not that familiar with Dean Koontz, but if the rest of his books are like this one, I won't bother trying to get through another one.
