I loved this book! Its stories by an Englishwoman who lived in Sicily for 50 years in a house an uncle had built. The book is structured so a chapter deals with individuals that were part of her daily life as well as visitors. Given teh time frame, this structure makes sense. It also includes some pictures. It has really made me want to discover more about Sicily!

Fascinating memoir by a British woman who inherited an estate in Sicily and decided to remain there for decades, entertaining some of the world's famous people. Great descriptions of life in Sicily over the years, especially the people and the culture. There are many photographs included in this book as well.
