I am usually a fan of horror/sci-fi books, but this one was very different. More of a modern contemporary psychological thriller. Very well written and leaves you guessing til the last minute. Not your typical scary horror, I could even read this one when alone.

If you enjoy psychological horror stories, you will enjoy this contemporary "ghost story". A newly constructed house designed by a talented young architect is seemingly possessed by a malevolent entity that targets its inhabitants with murderous results. Told by the young couple next door in this upscale neighborhood, the story of three families who are unfortunate enough to move into this beautiful house unfolds in fascinating detail. While there seem to be logical explanations for much of what happens, everyone connected to the house seems to lose what they value most.
