This is part of a series of mysteries set in New Orleans. Great descriptions of the city in the decade before Katrina, and a wonderful main character, a policewoman named Skip Langdon.

New Orleans homicide detective, Skip Langdon, gets the most bizarre murder to investigate. An influential, wealthy restaurant owner gets gunned down in his own home and it appears to be someone in the family. But why? The daughters have disappeared and nothing makes sense. Great story - a in-depth look at Skip too which I liked.

House of Blues - Skip Langdon, Book 5. I need the first four books. Skip is complex and I need to read her history. Great book Julie!
