An EXCELLENT read! Convoluted and unpredictable as casual lawyer DeMarco, bright and clever but not too brave, investigates questionable practices by a pharmaceutical company. The CEO is way more interested in profits than in helping people with his new wonder drug. With murder for hire and money greasing palms from Washington throughout the world where isolated village people are used as guinea pigs for research on this new drug, to avoid testing protocols in the USA. Now I have to go back and start with book one in the DeMarco series. Strongly recommend to enthusiasts of thrillers and detective and political fiction.
