This is the Pet Rescue Series by Linda O. Johnston. This is the third in the series. The series is based on Lauren who runs the Hot Rescues Pet Shelter, if your fan of Lindas you have met Lauren in the Kendra Ballantyne Pet Sitter mysteries.
I have read the first two and really struggled through both. I started reading this and just kept putting it down. I took it on a plane trip and we were delayed and 4 weeks later I made it to page 92. I just gave up. I skipped to page 270 and found out the ending.
There is a new rescue in town. This one does not take in the healthy adoptable animals, it tries to find homes for the less desirable, the special needs and old timers. But not everyone feels that all pets deserve a chance and someone is out to stop the new shelter from becoming successful.
That is all I can write because I did not read the meat of the book.
I am not a big fan of Laurens. I did not care for this series and this will be the last book I read from this series. I am very disappointed because I really like this author; I just do not care for this series and her nocturnal romance series.
