American Lola Laforet is swept away in a whirlwind wedding and finds herself the chef/owner of the Hotel Riviera. Her life seemed to be a dream come true. But then one day her husband, Patrick, disappears after nothing more than a wave good-bye. Six months later, Jack Farrar, an American expat living on his boat, drops anchor in Lola's harbor and teaches her the true meaning of attraction. When various shady people all claim to be owners of the Hotel Riviera, Lola and Jack have to track down the mysterious Patrick. This book is like taking a vacation!

This sweet little romance with a touch of mystery was an easy read. The Cote d'Azur, a little homey inn, a missing husband and a sexy sailor. Good food, good friends, and a pet chicken give it a touch a whimsey. I liked it.

great light, romantic, mystery!
Great fun,romantic mystery.
A beautiful setting and a lovely romance.
I've read one of Adler's other books and enjoyed it, but I started this one and since romance isn't my cup of tea, I decided not to keep reading. I might have cheated myself, but the three genres I don't read...romance, sci-fi and fantasy just can't keep me interested.
American Lola Laforet is swept away in a whirlwind wedding to a handsome Frenchman and finds herself the chef/owner of the Hotel Riviera. Then one day the charming Patrick Laforet disappears one day with nothing more than a wave goodbye. When various shady people, all claiming ownership of the Hotel Riviera and the police appear, Lola and her new friend Jack have to track down the disappearing Patrick. *Interesting characters and kept my attention.*
