Absolutely delightful read about the author's childhood growing up and living in the Taft Hotel in NY! I couldn't put it down and was sad when the story ended and the Taft became another hotel...

Great book. You think living in a hotel would be great. Having your sheets and towels changed everyday, dining in any of the restaurants, having magazines and books from the newstand sent up to your room to read, in house dry cleaning etc. It was great but you do miss out on normal things. A great look at the 1930s and 40s.
