The first in her new trilogy involving three orphaned sisters left in the care of their tough-talking uncle Yank Morgan. A ladies' man with a penchant for gambling, Uncle Yank hasn't a clue what to do with three little girls, so he trains them to become major players at his Manhattan sports agency. Annabelle, the eldest, has become a powerhouse in the PR department, but her attraction to egocentric bad boys has proven to be a problem. After her latest boyfriend dumps her for an actress, Annabelle takes a personal vow of celibacy that lasts about as long as an ice cube in August when she meets her newest client, ex-football star Brandon Vaughn. Annabelle initially writes Brandon off as another handsome jock, but she soon discovers that he's different than the rest. He's building a lodge for kids with learning disabilities and, since someone seems intent on sabotaging his efforts, he needs positive publicity fast.

From Publishers Weekly
Phillips (Under the Boardwalk, etc.) kicks off Harlequin's new single-title romance line, HQN, with a sizzling but somewhat insubstantial tale, the first in her new trilogy involving three orphaned sisters left in the care of their tough-talking uncle Yank Morgan. The bland mystery doesn't add much zest to Phillips's predictable plot line, but this breezy book will likely score a touchdown with readers looking for sexy thrills and instant gratification.

Great Read.
Annie takes on Brandon's PR nightmare when someone close to him is sabotaging his upscale lodge/summer camp for needy kids. First in a trilogy about sisters at Hot Zone, a PR agency for past and present athletes. I liked Phillips' playfulness with the characters, and her use of secondary characters to move the plot along. They each clearly have a story, but it doesn't detract from Annie and Brandon's growing friendship and romantic relationship. What I also appreciated was how ADULT the characters behaved. There was no wishy-washy "why do I like him? maybe he won't like me back?" etc. - these characters were confident and acknowledged their mutual attraction, and from there their intimacy only blossoms. Instead of their attraction pushing the plot along, there was the lodge mystery to push their characters forward, and that was much appreciated. My favorite book in the series.
Annabelle was orphaned when she was 12 (her sisters were 10 and 8) and taken in by her bachelor uncle Yank (at first I thought this was a typo, it's not). Yank runs a sports agency and as adults, Annabelle and her sisters have expanded the agency to include PR for a variety of people. They are excellent at what they do.
Brandon is an ex-client of Yank's and approaches him again when he is having problems. Brandon is in the process of trying to build a resort with a dual purpose (cater to the wealthy for part of the year and help out children with educational issues the rest). Something is hindering the construction and putting him behind. Enter Annabelle.
Both characters have some issues (Annabelle dates the wrong guys; they use her & Brandon's parents haven't been as supportive of him as they should be & he was married before) which make trust difficult. This was okay. I did think the ending was rushed. The work-site sabotage was disappointing.

Very good, easy reading. Loved it
This was a lot of fun to read. Fans of Susan Elizabeth Phillips will love this series - similar to the Chicago Stars series. Fast read with just enough sex!
Good book. Easy read.
Book 1 of 3
this is the first book of a trilogy...3 orphan girls are raised by their bachelor uncle...they all become capable business women in the sports field...this book is primarily about the oldest sister - Annabelle. Good easy read...chic lit...enough for me to want to open book number 2.."Hot Number".
If you like the other books by Carly Phillips you will love this one...and if you haven't read anything by her yet you will find this a really good first read.
Carly Phillips is a fun-to-read novelist. Her characters are fun and zany, there is romance and intrigue.
Great book! The way Carly Phillips writes it it's like you can see it happening. Good storyline, good detail, and for the most part the pace keeps moving.
Cute book. Predictable somewhat. Just enough description without it being to much.
Love this book! It is actually part of a series, but you don't have to read the others to understand the storyline. There are two other books that use the same characters in them. Fun, easy summer read.
Very fun and enjoyable read!
Annabelle Jordan inherits the publicity firm, The Hot Zone. One of their clients is ex-football legend Brandon Vaughn. Sparks fly.
Keep your partner close!
I havent read this book yet, and I find myself having 2 copies.

Excellent read.
Annabelle Jordan and her two sisters were oprhans in frilly dresses when they went to live with their sports-lawyer uncle in his world oflocker rooms, bookies and gambling. Now the girls are publicists in their uncle's firm, The Hot Zone. Despite her upbringing Annabelle is all woman. She's naurally drawn to real men - like her latest client, ex-football leend and businessman Brandon Vaughn. The chemistry is potent, undeniable, irresistible, but Annabelle soon realizes taht Brandon is much more than just another jock. And that she'd better hold on tight if she doesn't want to lose her heart.

A fun read with steamy parts. Sometimes the sexual tension seemed to be over done for me, but an all around good time.
Hot romance
I love the "Hot" Series. Very funny.
1st book of 3. Great story and a great romance.
The first book in a sizzling trilogy about the Jordan sisters. This one is about Annabelle and her work as a publicist for an ex-football player.
Book #1 of 3.
great for readers who like sports with their romance. Nice back story with the sisters too.

Great book, part of a trilogy.
Part of the Hot Zone trilogy. This book features Annabelle a publicist with a knack for rescuing various critters and Brandon an ex-jock who is trying to open a lodge. Someone is sabotauging (sp) the lodge's construction and Annabelle is trying to figure out what is going on while sparks are flying between her and Brandon. Pretty fast read although the criminal is kind of easy to figure out (he's a slime anyway so you root for it to be him).
1st book in the Hot Zone series.
Very good book, Cute also

Great book in great condition :)
