This is the 2nd in this series. I really like that I can relate so well to the characters in these books. If I had a keeper shelf, these would have to be on it.

Pretty generic women-solving-each-other's-problems fare. Part of a series. The women of the original Hot Flash Club have opened a spa, the better to expand their friendly meddling. This time they help a pregnant executive uncover the swindle behind her father's May-December marriage, encourage a quiet young woman to stand up to her fiance's overhwleming family, and support one of their own as her back-to-nature daughter-in-law tries to keep her from seeing a new grandchild.

Finally a series that places women 50 and over in a positive light!

I am so glad the second book continues to show the friendship and adventures of the original HFC members and introduces new characters. The women deal with life issues from births of grandchildren to death of an inlaw. Yet it isn't just humore for the sake of humor or dramatics of personality clashes. You'd think these were women from across the fence or down the hall at work.

Pleased that Nancy Thayer has given my age a series to which we can relate. We don't have to read dreamy over-the-top romances (unless we want trashy fiction), we can now read about women in a positive real life fiction - and laugh until we pee ;-)
