My first Robert Crais book and I really liked it, would definately read another one of his books.

In making a movie out of this book, you could either make it a real good comedy or a really good suspense movie: You have some ex-cons (not too bright) that rob a store and then their truck breaks down. They climb the fence in a gated community and then break into a house with a family inside. The boy in the family has secret passages in the house, sister only has on a bikini, and the father. Did I mention that he is an accountant? He is, but it's for one of the biggest mob bosses on the West coast. He has all the records plus loads of cash in the house (millions!) The cop in charge is an ex-LAPD SWAT hostage negotiator. Also, one of the ex-cons? He just happens to be a cannibalistic serial killer. Strange sounding, but the book is really good! Enjoy!
