This was just a fabulous read! Great story, very poignant and ultimately uplifting. Wonderful characterizations. At times I had to put the book down because it was so poignant, and then other times, NOTHING could make me put the book down! In other words, I was absolutely captivated by this book from the first page. I have read many of this author's works and this is far and away my favourite!

It was a little difficult to get into because there was so much going on. It covers a lot of territory as far as issues and what's important. It was full of surprises and emotions. None of the characters are perfect and not always likable but it is a satisfying read in the end.
