A great read for historical fiction. Since the 4th grade kids I work with had to read a historical fiction book this month, I thought I would too. I really enjoyed that it took place in Connecticut and mentions Westchester county NY, where I grew up. It wasn't hard to imagine Hope and her perils in trying to get back to her family. The book gives a good idea of what living back then might have been like.
