Very easy read. Inspirational stories. Too bad there aren't more communities like this for foster families.

Hope Meadows looks like any suburban neighborhood; but the children playing here have haunting histories. They have been given up by their mothers, most of whom are addicts, prisoners nd prostitutes. In Hope Meadows "unadoptable" children are given the chance to thrive they would have been denied otherwise.

good it really tells it how it is - there is no sugarcoating what these families go thru
but it balances out with tales of hope of kids/families who made it
just wish there were more stories told from the childs perspective
its about this unique community on a old military base where some of the homes house older persons who act as grandparents and single/marrieds who adopt or foster as many kids as they can handle in exchange for affordable housing and a small salary (very small) - the kids have suffered various levels of abuse and neglect and they seem for the most part to respond to the positivity that inhabits hope meadows
i can only hope that this community is duplicated nationwide
