To Honor and Trust is a historical romance which takes readers into the lives of both the wealthy and the working class of people in 1913. The setting, an integral part of the story, is a winter resort for affluent families.

I was very interested in reading this book, as I love the weather and romance of the islands along the Eastern coast and I have a keen interest in the history of the early 20th century. This Bridal Veil Island novel more than lived up to my anticipation.

The contrast of expectations and outlook between those who are moneyed and those employed by them was what I enjoyed the most in the story. Callie Deboyer is the one person who is able to bridge the gap between the classes, as she grew up in a privileged home, but is now the private teacher to the Bridgeport family.

The story follows the lives of Callie and Wesley Townsend as they struggle with important decisions. Should grown children acquiesce to their parents expectations? Where should people draw the line of loyalty to family and friends? Is God really interested in our day to day living? How do we choose between living a life of material wealth and a life that might be more personally fulfilling? Is it safe to trust again, when youve found disappointment and hurt in a past relationship?

There is also a bit of mystery in the bookmissing people and missing jewelrywhich adds intrigue to the story.

I enjoyed To Honor and Trust. I felt very satisfied upon finishing the book. I was happy things worked out as they did.

I enjoyed this series so much, and this book was wonderful reading. There was a little mystery to it, along with the twists and turns of romance, to keep it moving at a good pace. Good characters that you hate to leave as this was the last book of the series. Thought-provoking dialogue about Christian living.

Totally enjoyable!
