The first book I read by this author many years ago. It pulled me into her wprld and now I never miss a Sandra Brown book. If you're a fan of hers and haven't read it I suggest you do...its vintage Brown!
another great book from Sandra Brown
Overall a good book. Not one of my favorites from Brown but definitely not one of the worst. I still wish she'd come up with a male character I like a little better.
A little bit different for Brown.
A story of love and hate, passion and duty....
Good, as all her books are wonderful
I have a copy on my "keeper shelf" as well. This was the first Sandra Brown book I read and I think it is one of her best althoug it is older and shorter. The character development is much better than in some of her more recent works.
This was a classic by Brown. I have my copy that I put in its own plastic coating years ago. I will never trade this book! A con on the run, kidnaps the heroine so she will not go to the police {she got in his way}. He needs to go back to the reservation to see his dying grandfather before he is caught by the police and sent back to prison.
sexy ,hot ... keeps ya rereading & never wanna stop.now I know where alot of the recent writers get inspiration from..great Read. Sandra Brown's came hard..loved it what a beast of read!
Navajo-rights agitator who has escaped from prison. Intent on a mission only he knows, Lucas kidnaps Aislin, the blonde, blue-eyed daughter of a prominent Arizona couple--and flees across Arizona with hostage in tow.
Danger, intrigue, and raw sexuality mark the desperate flight. What will happen to Aislin? She represents everything Anglo, whom Lucas loathes as oppressors of his people. He sees her as a symbol, not a woman. She, in turn, can't help being both awed and terrified by this dark and intense stranger whose motives she cannot guess.
Both Lucas and Aislin have to let go of their stereotypes as they enter the Navajo reservation where Lucas has been bound all along. And both have to fight hard to deny the growing attraction between them. As this fast-moving and sexy story moves toward its inevitable conclusion, there are plenty of surprises on the way--for Lucas, his family--and Aislin.

I really enjoyed this book. Great story line with some twists.
Hated it, my least favorite Sandra Brown book.

Aislinn Andrews walks into her home to find escaped convict Lucas Greywolf raiding her refrigerator. Soon she finds herself his hostage on a mad dash across Arizona. At first Aislinn is afraid of him, thinking he will kill her. But as she gets to know her captor, she finds out why he has escaped prison and learns that there is more to this man than the hard unyielding mask he wears.
This older Sandra Brown title was a quick read but seemed very dated. I had a problem with Lucas constantly voicing his hatred of all things Anglo. I just wanted to say "Get over it". But the story was fast paced and interesting and I didn't want to put it down. My rating: 4 Stars.

Aislinn Andrews met Lucas Greywolf under unusual circumstances -- she caught the escaped convict raiding her refrigerator. But was he a troublemaker who aroused dissidence among Arizona's Native Americans . . . or a hero who'd gone to prison for a crime he hadn't committed? It didn't really matter now, since Lucas Greywolf had taken her hostage. He was going home to the reservation of his birth, honor bound to pay last respects to his dying grandfather. And Aislinn was his ticket home.
