Honeymoons Can Be Hazardous is the fourth installment in the An Amish Matchmaker Mystery series featuring Amish matchmaker Millie Fisher and her English best friend, Lois Henry. It's Valentine's season and love should be in the air, but for Millie she's still mourning the loss of her husband Kip and the fact that Uriah Schrock, the one man she had shown recent interest in moved away to be with his family. Lois finds her heart hardening when ex husband #4, Gerome Moorhead aka "Rocksino-Guy" shows up with his much younger new wife, Paige.

A tense exchange occurs between Lois, Paige and Gerome and feeling guilty Lois asks Millie to accompany her to the Munich Chalet where the newlyweds are staying so that she can apologize. Unfortunately, upon arrival the gigantic cuckoo clock at the resort starts to sound and the bird falls to the ground crushing Paige who had been standing underneath. Someone has deliberately cut the cables to the cuckoo, but was Paige the intended victim? Despite the warnings from Deputy Little to stay out of his investigation, Millie and Lois soon find themselves in the midst of a tangled mystery involving both the Amish and English.

The author does a fantastic job as always of weaving together two very unique lifestyles, touching on a recent headline - in this case drug trafficking and addiction, and adds in the hilarious antics of the resident goats, horse and cat. A fast paced and wonderful addition to the series, ending with a surprise for Millie. Looking forward to the next adventures in Holmes County.
