While this is a great book with some great tips for homeschoolers, a word of the week, etc. It is still a basic teacher plan book. I didn't get anything NEW out of it and I now just buy a notebook-type student planner for my homeschooling. I find that the squares of teacher planners would be fine if all your students were on the same level, but when there is 2 or more students, it doesn't work as well. The other problem with planners is that they are fine if you are going to progress whether or not the child 'gets it' or not like they do in 'regular' school. I don't. If we haven't got a concept, then we slow down or stop or change lanes or even change curriculum. I add in things, etc. that doesn't fit in a box that I am trying to write out for how many different levels. This is a cute planner and if you are going to use one, it is great. I just prefer cheaper student planners that I keep track of what we are doing each day as opposed to planning out too far in advance.
