As you would guess, not exactly for fans of GWB. For the right crowd, this is pointed, well-written and funny.

Keillor is always a great storyteller, and in this tells the story of being a Democrat and what that has meant--and means--to him.
I'd venture that even more moderate Republicans would have to agree with his understandings of American claims to neighborliness and responsibility.
Readers of all stripes might also be surprised to discover in Keillor's accurate cataloguing the many important features of modern American life that were brought into being by caring Democrats. He describes historic sensibilities of how Americans felt they should treat each other, and clearly wants us all to remember and act on those sensibities today.

Garrison Keillor at his best. The story of his life really.
