As a novice baker, I found this to be a very useful and accessible bakebook. Included is information regarding basic whole wheat recipes (my bread of choice); using yeast and other raising agents; adding ingredients like fruits, nuts, and spices; creating a sourdough plug; and even guidelines for gluten-free baking. An excellent manual that I keep on hand for whenever the mood strikes. Highly recommended, especially for beginners and novices, as this has all the essentials of baking knowledge.
