One night, while out with her friends, Dayna witnesses a vehicle leaving the scene of a hit and run. What ensues is Dayna's investigation. Day used to be an actress (she was semi-famous about a series of commercials she was in featuring a fast food restaurant chain went viral). She was let go and ever since has been working a series of temp jobs. She is broke and lives in the 2nd bedroom of her BFF, Sienna.
This got a bit frustrating for me. Day would repeatedly mention how broke she was, but at the same time, there wasn't much of a job search going on. Nor was it ever mentioned that she would do back to school to complete her degree (she has 1 semester left). While I thought there was a lot of superficial behavior going on, she is supportive of her friends and they are of her. I liked that she was trying to help her parents out. Decent mystery and a who-did-it.
