When Sue Ann Simpkins' husband left her for another woman, she and her young daughter were devastated. Having the long Thanksgiving weekend to herself, Sue Ann rents a cabin on Bear Lake for some peace and quiet. She doesn't expect her ex-husband's best friend, Adam Becker, to show up at her door or for them to be trapped in the cabin by a sudden snowstorm.
The fourth book in the Destiny series is a nice contemporary romance with a few surprises. Adam was a fantastic hero. He's is the kind of guy any woman would love to have. It drove me a little crazy that Sue Ann would kept trying to keep him at arms length. I wish that obstacle in their relationship would have been resolved sooner.
I really liked Sue Ann's young daughter, Sophie, and couldn't imagine how this author would handle Christmas morning with the little girl only wanting Santa to bring her a Reindeer. I liked how the problem was resolved. My rating: 4 Stars.

I was a bit surprised to see Sue Ann getting her own story. She was happily married in the previous 3 books. This book starts out with her going through a divorce. Sue Ann has more depth in this one than previous books in this series. I was pleasantly surprised. I liked Mick and Jenny's side story. Next up: Amy's story.
