Fans of The Princess Switch movies starring Vanessa Hudgens will enjoy The Holiday Swap by Maggie Knox, a slightly more realistic version of a "swapped lives" story.

Identical twin sisters Cass and Charlie were raised in a small town nestled in the mountains, helping their parents run the family business, Woodburn Bread. With her eyes on bigger and better adventures, Charlie left as soon as possible to attend culinary school and pursue a television career in LA as host of a Food Network-type baking competition show.

Compelled to support her parents, Cass built a life in her hometown, gradually taking over more responsibilities at the family bakery. A series of events causes the sisters to swap lives 10 days before Christmas at a time when both of their careers are at a crucial moment - what could go wrong?!?

As you might expect, the sisters get much more involved in her twin's life than anticipated. And of course, each woman meets someone special while living her sister's life. There's lots of chemistry between the couples, but nothing steamy so this could appeal to a broad range of readers. There's also a "villain" in each sister's life that adds a unique twist to the usual rom-com plot.

This debut is filled with delicious baked goods, Christmas cozy vibes, romance, family, and small town goodness. I was surprised to learn the identity of Maggie Knox is actually a partnership of authors Karma Brown and Marissa Stapley because it read seamlessly.
