4/4/10: Silver Bells was pretty corny. Perhaps rushed because of being in an anthology, the way she jumped to "six months later" was quite lame. It was my first book by Macomber, it doesn't exactly inspire me to go read more of hers. ★★★
4/5/10: The Perfect Holiday was cute. I had already added Amazing Gracie by Sherryl Woods to by To-Be-Read list, and would like to read more by the author. ★★★★

Three Christmas stories in this Anthology. My overall rating: 4 Stars.
Silver Bells by Debbie Macomber - Girl helps her single dad find a wife for Christmas. Story was just OK. 3 Stars.
The Perfect Holiday by Sherryl Woods - An old woman does matchmaking from the grave after getting a promise from a friend to spend Christmas week at her home in Vermont. He doesn't expect to find a woman has already moved in. 4 Stars.
Under the Christmas Tree by Robyn Carr. Puppies are found under the town's Christmas tree. Vet Nathaniel Jensen and Annie McKenzie are drawn together to take care of them. Cute Virgin River story. 4 Stars.

I am writing this review without reading Debbie Macomber's "Silver Bells." I've read about ten books by Macomber and have vowed never to read her anymore since it seems like she reuses the same characters and storylines over and over again.
"The Perfect Holiday" by Sherryl Woods: I've never read Woods before but I think I will look for her now. The story takes its time and it is truely romantic. Very sweet with great characters. In the intro, Woods mentioned that this is not a new story but a reprint.
"Under the Christmas Tree" by Robyn Carr: It shocked me that I didn't like this one as much as I liked her other stuff. In the others books, I really enjoyed Nathniel and Annie. But here, Nathaniel kind of came off as a jerk. There was an inconsistency. Some of the things that come out of Nathaniel's mouth should be very devastating to someone who was insecure (which Annie was a bit), but Annie took it really well. I loved Annie but I had a hard time with Nathaniel nor did I feel any good connection between them. A slight disappointment but not terrible.
Overall, easy read. I wouldn't exactly spend a credit or money for this but it was an above average read for an anthology.

Got this for the Robyn Carr Virgin River portion of the book, which is the love story of Annie and Nathaniel, but ended up reading the entire book and really loved it.

I have this book, but the real ISBN-13: is 9780778328377 if you want to request it.
I thought the book was good. I love Debbie Macomber's stories, but these other two authors were good also.
