Lou moved to CO to escape her controlling family (they picked out her college, major, boyfriend, etc). She's proud that she finally stood up to them. She broke up with her boyfriend (the one that her family cherry picked for her, that she doesn't love, and who is also an asshole). Callum is ex-military and likes order. Lou is his complete opposite.
This was a nice romantic suspense. A good amount of romance mixed with suspense. Someone is stalking/trying to harm Lou. There is also a body found in the beginning of the book. His murder is not solved in this one and I wonder if that is an underlying thread that ties this series together. We will see. I thought Callum and Lou fit well together and complimented each other perfectly. The only thing I can think of in the book is Lou had a very well flushed out background. I "got" her. I can't say the same for Callum.
Rescue diving (cold water) is very interesting and I liked that aspect. And Lou got to save the day!
