He wrote 12 volumes, they have been translated and published in 2 volume sets, so his autobiography is 6 books averaging about 700 pages each , not bad for someone who lived 52 or 53 years (1725 to 1798). His sexual exploits (oh, come on, that's why you're wanting to read him, isn't it?) have been called "repetitive" by some reviewers, so maybe reading only one volume would be enough.
