Fairytale romance with a twist -- This was a GREAT book--very nicely done. The husband cares deeply for the wife & very slowly introduces her the the D/s live style.

Contemporary erotic romance. Kara goes to Slade to ask for leniency for her brother, who has stolen money from Slade's company. Slade is much more interested in Kara, than in the stolen money. Slade has a proposal for Kara: He will forgive the theft, if Kara marries him, and agrees to be completely submissive to him. Seeing no other way to help her brother, Kara accepts. But, Kara has a violent past, and doubts her ability to keep her end of the bargain. This is an erotic fairy-tale like story. Slade is infinately patient, caring, insightful. Kara finds herself hoping for a happy ending. Sweet, yet sort of kinky fairy tale. The sex scenes are tastefully done. There is some bondage, D/s. Better than a lot of erotica out there.

I really enjoyed this book. But just a heads up....this book contains a topic that might be a little rough for some people. If you have an issue reading about a child being kidnapped, abused mentally and physically and rapped then don't read this book. Kara's memories and nightmares of the event are detailed and troubling.

When Kara meet Slade it was with the intent to save her brother from going to jail for skimming money from Slade's company. What she get's is a proposal for a husband and new life as a dominant and submissive.

Unbeknownst to Slade his new life includes a wife whose been through a horrific event that was magnified due to how her family dealt with it. His new role as master is one that has become more complex then he ever imagined it would be. With his role clear his only obstacle is Kara's inability to open up and communicate.

This book was amazing in it's character complexities.
