This is a really good read! Jessica Bird is also know as JR Ward, whose vampire novels are so hot right now. I think this title is 2nd in a series for Sillohouette-I've also read the 4th. This one is better than that one (Spike's story), I guess because I liked both the leads in this one, but didn't care for the female in the other. Very Good!

Even though Joy Moorehouse only saw Grayson Bennett a few times a year, she was definitely in love with him. But realistically she knew he barely knew her name...or did he? Gray definitely paid attention when Joy entered a room. He knew she was a beautiful woman who should wait for a special guy who could love her. Gray felt he was incapable of loving anyone and didn't want to hurt her. But now he was finding it hard to stay away from her.
This book was a quick read, even though it became frustrating in places. How many obstacles could Gray throw out there between he and Joy? Seems like one after another. If I were Joy, I would have told him to take a hike long ago. But, lucky for her, she stuck with him and finally turned him around by the end of the book. My rating: 4 Stars.

Getting tangled up in fantasies about some man Joy saw maybe five or six times a year was ridiculous and it wasn't like Gray ever encouraged her. He remembered her name. But that was as far as it ever got. Well, except in her dreams. In real life, however, the attraction was totally one-sided.
Or so she thought. Joy couldn't believe it when her daydreams about Grayson Bennett, political consultant and heartthrob extraodinaire, seemed poised to become reality. When he noticed her--really noticed her. When he gazed at her with the same desire he'd inspired in her for years. But was sweet, small-town Joy a match for arrogant, big-city Gray, ruthless about all things--except opening his heart?

Book 2 in the Moorehouse Legacy. (Book 1 is called Beauty and the Black Sheep & book 3 is called His Comfort and Joy.) This miniseries is based on 3 siblings who won an inn of need of repair located in upstate New York. For years sweet Joy Moorehouse has had fantasies about rich Grayson Bennett. Is this the years Joy's fantasies come true?

Another great read in a great series! Joy is the good girl who studied business in college because her family business needed help and cares for her elderly relative with dementia. Her sister had sacrificed a lot to raise her and keep the business running, so how could Joy ever leave? In the meantime, she's loved Gray from afar. Wealthy and powerful, she didn't think he'd ever notice her. When he does, he whisks her away to the city, shows off her ability as a fashion designer, and drags her to Tiffany's to choose a ring. It isn't until he can trust her with his work and tell her that he loves her that she will say yes and allow her dream to come true.
