A wonderfully, touching book! I almost didn't list this book because the little Irish blessing in it just touched me so... "May God grant you many years to live, for sure He must be knowin', the Earth has angels all too few, and Heaven's overflowin'"

Read once, very gently. Very good + Condition.
I really liked this book. A homeless girl goes into labor in an abandoned building and is rescued by a off duty fireman. At the hospital, she lists him as the father because she is afraid she is not going to be there to take care of the baby herself. Needless to say, he sticks by her through a bad illness brought on by the premature delivery of her daughter and ends up claiming the baby as his own. Of course, they end up together, what good is a love story if the girl doesn't get the guy.

HEAVENLY FATHER,
I would love to be a dad, to hold a sticky hand while we watch a ball game. But is Caitlin Williams's daughter coming into my arms at birth part of Your plan? Caitlin named me as the dad so her preemie could receive urgent medical care. That's why I brought the Williams women home with me until Caitlin gets back on her feet. I sense she's hiding something about her past--I wish she'd realize secrets can
tear you apart. Now I can't imagine my life without them. I've even proposed to Caitlin--for the baby's sake, of course. But convincing Caitlin to make the three of us a family will be no easy task
