The book itself says it is for grades 3-7. The local library had it in the YA section. Those ancient Greeks were a pretty violent bunch! Hippolyta is fighting against the rule that an Amazon queen (her mother) can only allow one son to live. There's multiple scenes of fighting against people and animals. It was a compelling story but may not be to everyone's liking. The author has a "What is true about this story?" section at the end of the book that was informative and helpful.
