An excellent presentation of raw heroism, the bonds of comradeship, self-sacrifice, and the dedication of U.S. marines to country, Corps, and their ideals.

This is a marvelous read which should have been presented to the American public long before this book was published but for media political bias.

If you are interested in what the U.S. Marines are, read this.

This is the best account of a battle in Vietnam that I've ever read, and I've read numerous books on the subject. It is extremely intense and descriptive.
