When Criminal Mastermind Dorian Blackwell, the Blackheart of Ben More, is brought into Scotland Yard for questioning, he discovers a clerk, Mrs. Farah MacKenzie, is the woman he has been searching for the past decade. Dorian makes a lasting impression on Farah. There is just something about him that is unforgettable, especially when he shows up in her apartment in the middle of the night and whisks her off to his home in the Scottish Highlands.
This is the first book I've read by this author. She writes some fascinating characters. Both Dorian and Farah show us how their past has shaped them into the people they are today. The secondary characters are also very compelling. They each left their own marks in the story. I liked the author's writing style. The story was well paced and never got boring. My rating: 4 Stars.
