I did something with this book I rarely do. I stopped reading it half way through. I realize Ms. Howell is a prolific writer, but she needs to stop recycling scripts. In this series her hero is always incredibly good looking, tall, lean and powerful. The heroine is small in stature and beautiful.
But, the main problem I had with this book was that the premise the book is based on is so full of holes you could drive a truck through them. It is also similar to so many of her other books - hero or heroine believes something about the other that isn't true, but they won't give up on their beliefs.
Oh well. I have to say that her recent writing has improved greatly. I am enjoying her series Wherlocke so much I pre-ordered the next book in the series. Perhaps Ms. Howell got bored with her writing style in the Highland series and decided to change it.
