Great addition to the series. This is Cameron McAlpin and Avery Murray's story.
When Cameron MacAlpin learns the identity of the golden beauty tossed before him as a debt payment, he can't believe his fortune! For cat-eyed Avery Murray is the perfect weapon to use against Payton Murray - Avery's brother - who dishonored Cameron's own sister. Yet his plan to deliver the same insult and avenge his clan is thwarted by spirited Avery herself, who tempts him to forget eerything but the passion coursing through his blood. Still, a knight of the Highlands owes his allegiance to his clan before all else - even his heart.
Avery is outraged at her captor's accusations against her brother. Though he makes no secret he intends to use her to avenge his sister's lost honor, he adds to her fury by vowing to take her by seduction not force. Worse, she knows deep inside that this virile knight stirs her as no other man ever has. Courageously, passionately, she gives him freely what he vows to take - her body and her heart, knowing that she can lose all on the chance of everlasting love...

Bestselling author Hannah Howell's captivating new trilogy featuring the irrepressible Murray daughters continues with Highland Knight, a tale of revenge and desire in 15th century Scotland, where a proud knight seeking retribution falls in love with his beautiful hostage...
Avery Murray is given to Cameron MacAlpin in payment of a debt. He intends to use her against her brother Payton, because Payton is alledged to have ruined Cameron's sister. Before he can do this, however, he finds himself tempted by her spirit. His honor as a knight and his passion begin to war against each other.
I love Howell's Highland series and enjoyed this book a lot. However, as I was reading this book I began to wonder why in the world this woman fell madly in love with her captor?! I know, I know this is a typical plot to historical romance novels, but how realistic is it? I would think that the whole captive/captor thing would majorly dampen any amorous feelings that may develop. Ok, that's my little rant about that topic. I truly did like this book, but can't help wondering how stupid the women in these historical romance novels really are.
I love the Highland Series! This one was very good! I love all the romances set in the period of knights, castles, etc.
