Enough logic and turns to be by Doyle himself. Really a good read. I stake my rep on this being a worthwhile read, especially if you enjoy the English ( London - fogs 'n all) thriller - mystery. Blood and gore, characterizations by the pound, super plot, very good all 'round.

As with all of Anne Perry's books (at least those involving Inspector Pitt), the beginning chapters take a little bit more time to digest but once into the middle, the story is excellen, even better if you like British history.

Book 11 in the Thomas Pitt series - Clemency Shaw, wife of a prominent doctor, has died in a tragic fire in Highgate. Was the blaze set by an arsonist or a murderer? An Anne Perry must.
