This poignant story keeps the reader spellbound from page one to the very last word. Maralys Wills weaves her family's tale so skillfully that this book will be hard to forget. An inspiring memoir - tragic, yet heartwarming and compelling! This book is a must-read for anyone caring about family travails and triumphs.
I had read the book and was so moved by it. At a later date I was privileged to meet and speak with Maralys and as a result, purchased another copy of the book to give to a good friend. I then reread the first copy and was as moved by it the second time as I had been by the first reading. This is a story that stays with you and touches your heart. Do read it. You'll be glad you did.

__________________________________This is a deeply intimate look at a family, and at a young man who refused to fit in, and in that refusal rose to heights almost beyond imagination. It is at times painful to read, but in the end, it is compelling because it rings true in its depiction of the emotionally charged family dynamics, the triumph of achievement and the tragedy of young life cut short. It is a moving, and very personal story, that is ultimately optimistic in its view of life, however difficult and however brief. This review by Mike Meier
