----------------Volume III of the Deryni Chronicle---------------
With young King Kelson on the throne of Gwynedd, the priesthood of the Eleven Kingdoms felt its control deeply threatened. For Kelson was half Deryni -- part of that race of humans gifted with extrasensory powers...a race that had ruled two centuries earlier, but was dethroned and driven underground.
Now, the final battle for ultimate power was about to break into open conflict, led by the Church which equated the supernatural powers of the Deryni with witchcraft and heresy!

Volume III of "The Chronicles of Deryni" trilogy, called "High Deryni". King Kelson in plot and counterplots, magic and church priests, honor and dishonor, while the few remaining Deryni are hunted to their end. Vol I "Deryni Rising" and Vol II "Deryni Checkmate" are the first two titles. Lots of twists, lots of surprises, you'll have a hard time putting any of these three books down. Before you read Vol III, you'll have to have the first two volumes. Additionally, there is "The Deryni Archives" which has seven short stories covering 200 years of 'history'. Ms Kurtz has done an excellent job with laying these stories out.
Continuation about King Kelson and the Deryni! Good!
