I've read a couple of the books in this series and have to admit that this wasn't one of my favorites. The scenario and locale sounded good in theory, but the chemistry just wasn't there. The hero was terrific - great guy, capable, and caring, but the heroine was very difficult to like through most of the book. She was either abrasive and annoying, or just on the cusp of being likeable..then she'd go back to annoying again. This went on until the very end...when she finally got a clue just in time for the HEA moment. One thing did make me laugh though was on page 134 - the sentence: "She opened her mouth and vacuumed up his lower lip...". Vacuumed?! I can't help but remember the last time I vacuumed up a sock. So she's an abrasive and unlikeable woman with a vacuum cleaner for a mouth! That one's going to have me snickering for a good long while.

Held my interest and was believable even though the events were bizarre. Good dialogue and lots of humor.

Clive is in real danger and hiding well enough that both Vanessa and Wade have trouble finding him. There is danger in the air and people are searching with evil intent for both Clive and Vanessa.
This is a great book with many twists and turns. The ending is rather surprising.
