fun book
Good young adult fare.
This was such a fun and imaginative read. Can't wait to read the sequal. Gave this to my son and nephew for Christmas - they had it finished before Christmas vacation was over. Loved it!
this is a really really good book for pre-teens!
After a slow start, I warmed to this story of six friends in a "Last-Chance" alternative school. It reminded me, somewhat, of Luis Sachar's "Holes", and was every bit as exciting. This is a good book for middle-schoolers.
I really liked this book, the style of written was fun with the added in bits of notes, peoms, extra. Yet, I felt that something was missing from the ending which seemed to be rushed to tie everything else up. Maybe it was a fact that none of the adults ever discoved their 'talets' but...In a way I felt like this could have been a book for older readers but was dubbed down a bit. A good fast read for ages 10-14 :3
This book was what I imagine young people who seemingly have behavior problems would write to tell their stories. The characters are very believable and even though in this book it seems that good triumphs in the end it really is not like a happy ever after ending. You know in the next book there is going to be trouble for these same young people and that they will probably struggle always because of their strange talents which make them different.
