I loved this book. I especially loved the flashbacks because I love books with that setting. I could not put the book down. All of the characters were intriguing. The author did a fantastic job of keeping the reader guessing throughout the whole book.

According to The Guardian, she's an
Expert at mixing scenes of domestic cosiness with blood-curdling horror". Sounds great for a drowsy spring evening.

Erica Falcon finds a Nazi medal among her late motherâs things. She decides to investigate where it came from. She visits a history teacher who was a friend of her mother. She gets no answers and 2 days later he is found dead. Her husband, Det. Patrik Hedstrom, is on paternity leave but does get involved with the murder investigation. Could her motherâs secrets endanger their lives. Read this book to find out! Looking forward to next installment!

Fantastic! The author dangles clues in front of you, always keeping you moving forward, always eager to find out more. And once in a while she gives you a nibble to satisfy curiosity. It is excellent bait to keep you going in this book of more than 500 pages. From recent murders in a small town to what happened sixty years before, the secrets kept by four friends are a major page turner! D.
